Current Role
I am currently the lead technician, as well as the only registered technician in my practice. I am in charge of hiring, training, managing, scheduling and increasing the knowledge of my assistant and kennel crews in surgical monitoring, preventative medicine and hospitalized patient care. I also am in charge of ordering all medications and supplies while striving to keep the inventory management as efficient as possible. I also guide intern students with hands on experience from the WSU tech program in there last semester before board certification.

My favorite Vetcove tip is taking advantage of the deals and savings promotions as I select what vendors to purchase each item from. There are many deals and savings that are shown that I would of never known of otherwise.
Favorite Veterinary Life Hack
When intubating surgical patients I learned to tie it in with bandaging material around the dogs nose that would get knots in long patient hair and allowed for a lot of movement. I now use a rubber band twisted around the tube and behind the pets ears. This rubberband method allows you to use a new band each patient with a more secure hold.
Reasons I love working in the veterinary field
I love working in the veterinary field because everyday brings new challenges. One day I am working with students from WSU with hands on surgical monitoring experience, the next I am adding in a new medication to better our patients lives.
