I am an LVT and the Assistant Manager at my practice. I have all of the usual LVT responsibilities of patient care along with the duties of facilitating communication between my team, client satisfaction, and being the general "go to" person. I never thought I would be the person to call when the toilet backs up, but I can truly say I do it all.
Favorite Vetcove Tip
I am loving the notes section under each inventory item. I can log into Vetcove and makes notes about items so if my Hospital Manager places an order she knows exactly which products or brands the techs and doctors prefer.
Favorite Veterinary Life Hack
It sounds crazy but we have all made it pretty much standard to clean our canine patients ears while trimming their nails. It helps block out the sound of the clippers and provides just enough distraction for them to forget that you're touching their feet.
Reasons I love working in the veterinary field
I love working with the animals but I especially love getting to build relationships with our clients. Getting to know them and their pets on a more personal level always makes my job feel less like work.
